This is a very nice design – the two-tone paint enhances the ‘crescent moon’ shape bounded by the bright white paint. Eliminating the gears in moon area creates a void that makes the black section with its complex gear/chain arrangement more interesting and seeming to recede to the background even though all components are in the same plane.
